This new work is a combination of traditional paintings on panel and "quilted" paintings. During Covid, I started cutting up already finished paintings and reassembling them to try to make sense of all the noise and chaos of those early lockdown days. It was an easy, immediate way to make satisfying work. It was solving a puzzle, like a jigsaw, and it quickly became a more intentional practice.
